Irrelevent -- the king is dead. Long live the microbrew.
The villain Macrobrew is a superb example of what we're trying to accomplish here at Fair Food Fight. A proud undefeated champion for some 50 years, from Prohibition on, Macrobrew pwned the American beer industry in his day.
But Macrobrew's defeat came with Jimmy Carter's deregulation of old blue laws and the subsequent rise of the homebrew and microbrew industries. Watching Macrobrew fight now is a little like watching Muhammad Ali's attempted comeback in the early eighties, long after his glory had diminished -- defeat and humiliation are assured in this new era, where the local flavor is the preferred king of beers.
WARNING TO FAIR FOOD FIGHTERS: Funny beer commercials, Macrobrew's signature move, are NOT to be underestimated. See video above.
